Meebo: Download-free Chat

Now when you're away from your computer, you can still chat with your friends and family without downloading a chat client. Just go visit Meebo.com and be instantly connected to Yahoo IM, MSN IM, AOL/ICQ IM and Jabber/Google IM. This is one of the best online chat clients I've seen.

Cheap Flights... dot com!

Keeping the spirit of cheap stuff on the web, I found CheapFights.com. Now you can search and compare popular flight services like Orbitz.com, Travelocity.com, CheapAir.com, UltimateFares.com, etc... all from one location! Super cool; if you ask me. ;-)

Alaska Vacations 2006

So, I'm back from Alaska and I'm still excited! I knew from TV shows and documentaries that Alaska was going to be amazing, but, dear God... no TV show comes close to real life. On the first day we flew above Price William Sound where we saw glaciers merging. Later, our pilot gave us a close-up look at Mt. McKinley's peak at 20,000 ft. altitude. We saw grizzly and brown bears, moose, beavers, bald eagles, caribou and raindeer, artic fox, ox, etc... We visited Fairbanks, Denali National Park, Mt. McKinley, Talkeetna, Anchorage, Whittier, Skagway, Juneau, Ketchikan in Alaska; finally arriving at Vancouver, Canada.

It's my Birthday!

This year I celebrated a fun and exciting birthday weekend.

Saturday we prepared to go see the traveling production of Disney's The Lion King musical. Henry and I wanted to see the show live in Broadway while in New York back in 2001. Unfortunately, all the tickets were sold out 6 months in advance. Now, five years later, we get the opportunity to see the show live at Majestic Theater here in San Antonio. How cool is that? All I can say is... Wow. From the opening number down through the finale, the show totally captured and held my attention. The music, the costumes, the performances, everything was top knotch. I'm glad I finally got to see it live. So moved by the music, I quickly fetched for a copy of the show's soundtrack. Yay!

Sunday's evening started at The Melting Pot where delicious fondue cheeses, meats & chocolate plentished at our table. We topped the night off at the AT&T (formerly SBC) Stadium where we had tickets to the Cirque du Soleil's traveling production, DELIRIUM. Again, being a Cirque fan, the show definitely lived up to my expectations.

The night had come too quickly as I had to prepare for Cognos Training in Dallas the next morning.
